Introduction
Ljubljana appeared on the prestigious Global Fashion Week map in October 2015, hosting Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week for the first time. That quickly attracted attention among both the general public and fashion professionals. Every year since then it inspires with selected designers and a rich accompanying program.
Another relevant quality indicator of the main fashion event in Slovenia, attended by more than 3000 fashion enthusiasts and invited guests, is by far international media coverage.
The event caught the attention of the largest international media, including the fashion bible Vogue.
We have hosted many international guests, including world-renowned model and philanthropist Petra Nemcova, President Gattinoni Couture, Stefan Dominell, fashion icons Deanno Feretti, Simonetto Gianfelici and many other emerging and established designer names.
With MBFWLJ, we have developed a new media format that enabled innovative exposures and direct interaction of brands with fashion lovers.
Achievements
- The event determined a new business model and a new media format, which with its media footprint exceeded the Slovenian borders.
- By successfully bringing fashion closer to the wider Slovenian public, we have established a quality platform for presenting and connecting with local and foreign fashion designers.
- The Slovenian capital has entered the world fashion map - for the first and only time, the internationally renowned Alberta Ferretti brand presented itself at the Slovenian Fashion Week; world-renowned model Petra Nemcova attended; first fashion week was dedicated exclusively to men's collections. International Fashion Week has hosted a number of foreign media outlets, including representatives of the Vogue Fashion Bible.
- The dimensions of the event enable innovative exposure of business partners for networking.
